Tori Spelling has been in and out of the hospital a lot in the past couple of years, but her recent trip to the emergency room wasn’t because of one of her usual migraines. On Easter Sunday, during a family outing to a Japanese LA restaurant, Tori tripped and fell over a hot hibachi grill, suffering serious burns on the back of her arm.

Initially, she thought the burns weren’t that bad and would heal on their own, without her having to see a doctor. The pain became unbearable the other day, and she was rushed to the ER, and went under the knife immediately, the Daily Mail reports.

Tori’s heel caught, she tripped and fell over the grill

As per the same publication, which cites eyewitnesses at the scene, Tori, husband Dean McDermott and their 4 children had just had brunch at the Benihana Japanese restaurant, and were on their way out when the incident occurred.

It looked like Tori’s heel caught in something, which made her trip and fall backwards over the sizzling hot hibachi grill, which is used to cook food for customers. She screamed in pain but, says one insider, at the same time, she tried not to draw too much attention onto herself because she didn’t want to scare the children.

“Dean looked upset too, but you could tell they were doing their best to stay calm and not alarm the children,” the source says.

The tab has paparazzi photos of the two after the incident, as they’re getting ready to get inside their car: Tori is examining the back of her arm, where a white mark is visible. Dean looks on worried, but the kids aren’t included in any of the shots.

Another trip to the ER

The same report says that Tori and Dean went straight home, with the former “90210” actress turned reality star not wanting to go to the hospital for what she hoped would prove nothing more than a minor injury.

However, as time passed, the pain got worse, and the other day, she couldn’t stand it anymore. She was taken to the Grossman Burn Center in West Hills, California, and received skin grafts for the area that came in contact with the hot grill.

She is now in recovery, and friends are said to be praying for her. Doctors believe there will be very little scarring, but there is concern for Tori because she’s been having many health problems recently: obviously, an injury like this one was the last thing she needed.
