Check out this bizarre collection of photographs

Ever caught yourself looking at your toddler wondering how they would end up looking like in old age? No? Well, photographer Zachary Scott has, and you might find the results a little bit kooky.

Scott has created for the New York Times a series of images featuring some strange, old senior toddlers. Yes, you heard me. Prepare yourself for a gallery filled with little fellows showing off white hair, mustaches and bald spots, in what could be considered a series of images bordering the humorous and the bizarre.

The photographs were shot to provide visual guidance for an article entitled “What If Age Is Nothing but a Mind-Set” so there’s a philosophical substrate to this artistic endeavor.

The images look quite realistic, as Scott made use of props, prosthetic makeup and digital trickery to create this “believable time wrap effect.”

Scott really seems like he knows what he’s doing, but the caveat is that people usually want to look younger not older. Although you can’t deny the humor of making yourself look old, so who knows maybe Scott will start doing these kinds of photo shoots on a regular basis.

If you like Scott’s work, you can go ahead and check out his online portfolio.
