One of the most addictive business simulation games ever developed, Theme Hospital is now available for free on Origin. Developed by Bullfrog and Krisalis Software and published by Electronic Arts, Theme Hospital was released about 8 years ago.

The franchise belonging to EA seems to have been buried, as there doesn't seem to be any plans to launch any sequels to Theme Hospital. Although the game is only available through Origin and GOG (free DRM) for €5, beginning today PC gamers can get it for free.

Some of the most popular games launched in the past have been offered for free by EA as part of the “On the House” campaign, which is meant to improve Origin's image among PC gamers.

Theme Hospital is available for free on Origin for a limited time, but given the previous experiences, it might take around one month until EA replaces it with another game from its portfolio.

It will be free for a few weeks at least

Moving on to requirements, Theme Hospital should be fully compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7 and 8 and it will only require around 175MB of storage, 512MB RAM (1GB RAM recommended) and DirectX 9.

Here are some of Theme Hospital's main features:

“- Polished & detailed management sim with extra helpings of crazy. - Hilarious humour will accompany you throughout the entire game, in this strange hospital of yours there is always something weird and funny going on. - Be everything the national health care system shouldn't be; there is no place for mercy and altruism in this game - you can’t buy yourself a new car with that, can you?”

If you did not have the chance to try it out until now, we strongly suggest those who love business management games to pick this one up, especially that's if available for free.
