The development team at CD Projekt RED is announcing that, this week, all versions of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will get access for free to new content that includes a quest for gamers to explore and a new Gwent set to use if they play the card game.

The studio is not saying when they plan to launch the two additions, probably on Thursday or Friday, but mentions that more details will be offered at that point.

The new quest for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be called Fool's Gold, while the Gwent set is named Ballad Heroes.

A lot of players have been spending a lot of time with the card game included in the title, and the fact that more cards are added is a great news for them.

CD Projekt RED has said since The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was announced that it will try to deliver more value for players after launch date, making sure that their voices are heard when it comes to the creation of new content.

The studio is also working on another major patch for the title, which might be added before the end of the week on the PC and at a later date on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the biggest RPG of the year

Marcin Iwinski, the leader of CD Projekt RED, has recently announced that, in two weeks it has been available, the game has managed to sell more than 4 million copies across all platforms.

He also says that his company is happy to see the reaction of fans and will continue to improve the game in the coming months.

This is the final adventure of Geralt as a character, and the company is aiming to switch its focus to the equally ambitious Cyberpunk 2077.

The previous two titles in The Witcher franchise received extensive support from CD Projekt RED, with Enhanced versions offered for free to all those who bought the games.

Until that happens, Wild Hunt is due to get two major expansions, apparently designed to each add about 20 hours of play time to the already expansive open world experience.
