14 DAY TRIAL // CD Projekt RED's The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is running at 1080p on the PS4 and 900p on the Xbox One, but the developers are confident that nobody will tell the difference between the two systems.
The third installment in the much acclaimed Witcher role-playing game franchise is just around the corner, after having suffered several pushbacks, in order for the devs to further polish the experience and make sure that fans will truly enjoy everything that's waiting for them.
The previous two games set quite the benchmark for the company's games, and The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is hard-pressed to deliver the truly modern, next-gen experience that everyone is expecting.
Judging from the videos and screenshots showcased so far, CD Projekt RED is definitely making sure that the game pleases even the most demanding gamer from a visual standpoint, but the developer says that it's the gameplay that's going to really wow people.
The great graphics are merely a crutch for the actual gameplay mechanics
The developer showed off all three versions of the game, showing great confidence that consumers will enjoy The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt no matter which platform they choose to play it on.
"We're very confident of what we've managed to achieve. The Witcher is simply a good game, regardless of the platform you choose to play it on."
"There's little difference between 1080p and 900p in terms of the actual experience you get. These numbers are just numbers, it's the adventure and thrill you get from playing the game that counts," Senior Art Producer Michal Krzeminski told GamingBolt.
He may very well be right. As long as the game manages to deliver the remarkable experience everyone is expecting it to, such technicalities will fade in importance.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is slated for a May 19 release worldwide, on the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
