14 DAY TRIAL // The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is shaping up to be one of the biggest game launches of the year so far, and it seems that at the moment a number of players are having problems with getting the title to get past the loading stage after the initial cutscene plays, which basically means that they cannot actually play the CD Projekt RED experience.
According to the Reddit dedicated to the title, gamers do not have the option to skip the intro cutscene the first time around, and the game simply refuses to get past the loading screen, regardless of how much time it is given.
The PlayStation 4 version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is affected, and the development team has so far not offered any clear workaround for the issue.
Some gamers are saying that they have managed to pass the loading screen after they turned their consoles off, removed the power cord, and then restarted it.
Others have had to uninstall The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and then download it again or re-install it from the disk.
The most infuriating thing about the problem is that it is not consistent, which probably means that it will take CD Projekt RED some time to discover its cause and eliminate it.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has already received patches
Since the game was launched, most players have been able to enjoy the most recent and final adventure of Geralt without any problems other than the occasional crash.
This might be, in part, linked to the fact that the development team has already deployed patches on all platforms in order to squash some issues that appeared just before launch.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt represents the first title in the series to implement a full open world structure, allowing gamers to choose where they want to go and what missions they are interested in accepting.
CD Projekt RED has also improved the graphics of the game, although it seems that it was downgraded compared to initial images, has revamped the combat engine and has created a story that will deal with the past of the main character and the fate of the world he inhabits.
