14 DAY TRIAL // French developer Spiders and publisher Focus Home Interactive have just announced a new RPG title set in a cyberpunk world, called The Technomancer.
The Technomancer appeared for the first time earlier this year, when Focus Home Interactive showed some of its upcoming titles to the French media.
However, not many details were shared on the title at that time because the publisher wanted to benefit from all the hype later into the year.
This weekend though, Spiders announced that their next RPG title, The Technomancer, would be released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, sometime in 2016.
This is the second game with a cyberpunk theme to be released by Spiders, after the studio launched Mars: War Logs, which received mixed reviews. You can read our Mars: War Logs review to learn more about Spiders' latest games.
Anyway, according to developers, The Technomancer is an action-oriented game which offers players four different skill trees. These skill trees are based on 3 different fighting styles and the destructive-focused powers of the Technomancers.
Moreover, the game has a rich storyline, where players will be able to deal with dangerous situations using dynamic conversation dialogue instead of brute force.
Up to five endings for many quests
The story will change depending on the player's decisions. There will be options to craft equipment, weapons and armor for yourself and the companions that you will be able to recruit along the way.
Spiders also confirms that The Technomancer should have up to five endings for many quests, which should change the results and rewards, as well as the people you will meet and journey with.
Reading the short description of the game, The Technomancer seems like a sequel to the Mars: War Logs game because the story takes place in the same location and around the same time.
“On the run from the Secret Police and confronted by the harsh realities of the Red Planet, you must undertake a quest that takes you through tribal communities, cities lost under the ice, and dystopian shanties sprawled across Mars' dusty embrace.”
More about The Technomancer will probably be revealed at E3 2015, so stay tuned.
