A brand new video with upcoming PS4 exclusive third-person shooter The Order: 1886 has just been released by developer Ready at Dawn, in order to show off its impressive technology that powers the great visuals of the new title.

The Order: 1886 is the first all-new intellectual property made by Ready at Dawn, as the studio began life with new iterations in Sony's already-established franchises, such as Jak & Daxter or God of War. The new shooter has been hyped up in recent months and the studio has confirmed that it's gone gold and that it's ready to debut the title in late February.

Now, in order to further get hype going around the title, a brand new video has been released by the studio, giving players a behind the scenes glimpse of its development process. You can also admire quite a lot of actual gameplay footage and see how the technologies created by Ready at Dawn result in the game's actual visuals.

According to the studio's Andrea Pessino, the chief technical officer, all tools were made by the developer, in order to ensure that it can bring to life the experience it envisioned, without resulting in any sacrifices.

"We set on creating everything from scratch, with the goal of realising the unrestrained vision of our artists by innovating in the areas of image fidelity, shading, illumination, volumetric effects and simulation techniques," Pessino explains on the PS blog.

Pessino emphasizes that it was a big challenge, and while some things didn't work as intended, it was worth it, as the end result would also help the studio create other, more impressive games in the future.
