Players will be able to start enjoying the game next week

The servers for The Crew, the upcoming online racing title from Ubisoft, are set to go live on December 1, at 11:01 am GMT, so that they're ready for the game's actual launch on December 2, worldwide.

The Crew is one of the most ambitious titles coming from Ubisoft in the last few months, as it aims at carving a niche in the online racing genre by delivering a sprawling experience with a huge open world and all sorts of activities that can be done alone or with friends.

The title has already gone through several beta stages across most of its platforms, and the most recent open one is currently live across the PS4 and Xbox One consoles.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft, together with the two developers, Ivory Tower and Reflections, is putting the finishing touches on the final builds of the actual title before its launch next week.

While Ubisoft warned not to trust reviews posted on launch day, it's now confirmed to Videogamer that it will, however, turn on the game's servers and effectively allow owners to play it, on Monday, December 1, at 11:01 am GMT.

Bear in mind that you might not see that many people online until December 2, when the game goes officially on sale. Even so, those with early copies can start enjoying it early across the PC, PS4, Xbox One, or Xbox 360 platforms.
