Tera Online has just gotten its first major expansion, titled Fate of Arun, bringing a bunch of new stuff, such as new zones, a higher level cap, new abilities, and many fixes and tweaks.

The latest update, titled Patch 29.03.02, which sounds a lot less dramatic than Fate of Arun does, is now available for everyone to download.

The patch increases the level cap to 65 and adds an entire new continent, Val Oriyn, a land of savage jungles, colossal ruins, and homeland to the barakas.

The continent has been cut off from the rest of Arun for hundreds of years, and now it offers four new zones for players between levels 60 and 65 to explore.

Val Oriyn also includes the city of Highwatch, a new barakan settlement, as well as the Vanguard Initiative faction and a large number of story quests to complete for each of the zones.

The vile shadow lord Dakuryon himself will be waiting for you, provided, of course, that you are able to defeat the Imperial Archdevan Army.

The update also includes the Coliseum Battleground, an interesting environment in which two teams compete against each other in a unique PvE meets PvP environment, racing to be the first to defeat various waves of enemies.

More exciting additions

The wealth of additional content does not stop here, as the Fate of Arun expansion also includes a number of new dungeons and crafting recipes.

A number of changes have also been implemented to existing in-game content, such as the enchanting system, which has been simplified and streamlined for a more satisfying user experience. There have been a number of additional quality of life improvements as well, among which the ability to teleport directly to dungeon entrances and turn in completed quests from any location.

Unused crystals can be fused into new ones directly from your inventory, and the revamped quest interface makes leveling from 60 to 65 a much more rewarding experience.

Completionists will find 91 new achievements, including several that also award reward items, as well as new PvE and PvP gear.
