Paramount Pictures is rebooting the “Terminator” franchise this year, with the newest installment, the hilariously mistyped “Genisys” arriving in theaters on July 1. The ad that will run during the Super Bowl 2015 has been released early – and shifts attention back to franchise staple Arnold Schwarzenegger.

That’s an unsurprising move on behalf of the studio, if you think about it: despite very earnest attempts to build more hype around the reboot, they all fell short of expectations.

Voices in the blogosphere and even some trade publications have billed “Genisys” a sure failure, pinpointing at this desire to reboot the franchise, instead of just making a remake, as its biggest flaw.

So naturally, Paramount wants to remind you of the glory days of “Terminator,” and there’s no better way to do that than by shoving Arnold in the spotlight. This time, though, we have 2 Arnolds and they will be up against each other in the ultimate battle for Sarah Connor (Emilia Clarke): one old who will be defending her, and one young who wants her dead.

The new video is embedded below. It looks nice enough, that’s true, but does it do anything for you in terms of making you want to see the film? Let me know in the comments.
