Telltale Games, the studio that's become synonymous with story-based adventure games in recent years, confirms that it's switching around its executives and that it's working on both an original intellectual property and a few other unannounced partnerships, in addition to the existing ones.

Telltale Games has slowly but surely stepped up its release rhythm in recent years, entering the mainstream with The Walking Dead season 1 series, and then continuing with stellar experiences like The Walking Dead Season 2 or The Wolf Among Us.

Right now, the studio is busy launching new episodes for Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones, both of which saw their first chapters appear in 2014.

Big things are happening at Telltale

While it's not yet ready to talk about when the next episodes are going to appear, Telltale Games confirms, via GamesIndustry, that it's swapping around its executive officers, while working on new projects.

First up, existing CEO Dan Connors is moving to an executive advisor position, while president and co-founder Kevin Bruner is becoming the CEO of the independent company.

According to the new boss, the growth trend for Telltale is set to continue in a big way in the next few years, as the team will retain its focus on scripted storytelling, which has earned it many fans.

"Each year since Telltale's 2004 birth has been more exciting than the last, and 2015 will be no exception," he said. "We're thrilled to continue our growth and bring our unique style of scripted entertainment to the next generation of digital media, and do that across thousands of different devices."

The studio is working on an original IP and other projects

Besides continuing to develop both Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones, Telltale confirms that it's also working on a brand new original IP inside the studio, as well as on unannounced projects that should delight even more people.

"Our top priority is to continue fostering an environment where the most talented and creative storytellers in the industry are working side by side with the world's biggest creative partners. We're already working on some of the biggest franchises in entertainment, and when you add our unannounced partnerships and upcoming original IP, it's clear the most exciting time to be at Telltale is now, and there will continue to be more and more opportunity to innovate ahead of us," Bruner adds.

While Telltale isn't willing to share any details right now, you can expect some announcements in the following months or even at E3 2015 in summer.
