If you kick and punch enough, all your problems go away

You're probably aware of the way the reveal of Lucky Chloe has polarized the Tekken community and angered Katsushiro Harada. Let's just put that all behind us and watch some virtual people pummeling each other.

More proper Tekken 7 footage has made its way to the Internet, depicting a bunch of dudes and gals punching and kicking each other around, showing why the game is so fun in the first place.

The video looks great, the backgrounds are fine with a capital "f," and the moves look exciting enough to rekindle interest in Bandai Namco's fighting game.

Harada has revealed that there will be many new characters coming in Tekken 7, in addition to the recently released Lucky Chloe. So far, Katarina Alves and Claudio Serafino have been named and shown, and a few others have been teased, namely Kazumi, Mishima's wife, and a mysterious character of Arabian inspiration.

The core plot of the upcoming title is an epic brawl between Kazuya and Heihachi, but let's not read too much into that, as intrigue that can be solved through a fighting tournament is not something we want to bring back from the early '90s.

The game might hit Japanese arcades sometime during Q1 2015. Tekken 7 is built on Unreal Engine 4 and will be the ninth game in the series.
