A brand new off-screen video has popped up on YouTube, offering us a glimpse of some of the characters that will be making a debut in the upcoming Tekken 7.

The video features producer Katsuhiro Harada talking about the new features in the next installment in the long-standing series, and shows Shaheen, the Arabic warrior, in action for the first time, alongside Lucky Chloe, the crazy weaboo.

The two new warriors will join Katarina Alves and Claudio Serafino as brand new characters to play as, and longtime fans of the fighting game franchise will also see the return of popular brawlers like Paul, Kazuya, Heihachi, Law, Xiaoyu, Bryan, Hwoarang, and many others.

The video below shows Lucky Chloe's move set, with the action starting around the 1:20 mark, taking on none other than Kazuya himself.

The blonde girl sporting a pink sweater and cat ears has a unique fighting style inspired by breakdance and modern dancing, but she is every bit as deadly as all the other, more traditional fighters are.

At around the 5:50 mark, we get our first glimpse of Shaheen, a warrior hailing from Saudi Arabia, facing off Kazuya.

A pretty exciting game

Harada mentioned that the development team at Namco Bandai Games was aiming for around 35 to 40 total characters in the final edition of the game, so there's still plenty left to see. In any case, the game won't release with the full roster, so it's going to take us a while to get to know the complete list of playable characters.

The gameplay footage looks great, and the way clothing items behave is the most in-depth simulation that has ever been pulled off in a Tekken game. One of the reasons for this is the fact that the development team chose to use Unreal Engine 4 for the creation of the upcoming entry in the fighting video game franchise, instead of an in-house engine, as with previous installments.

Tekken 7 is coming to Japanese arcades this March, and for the time being there is no information on when the game would be coming to the West.
