While we're still waiting for Adele to tell us all about the magical, mystical chemical reaction she used to set fire to the rain, we can keep ourselves entertained reading about how a teenager managed to cause a rollover crash by setting a driver's armpit hair on fire.

The incident occurred this past weekend in Idaho, US. However, it is just now that the news concerning this accident has finally reached the online community. Not at all surprisingly, the story is spreading like bush fire.

Why it's never OK to mess with a driver

Police officers in charge of looking into this accident say that the crash happened on Sunday, in the early hours of the morning, on a suburban road not far from Boise, Idaho's current capital city.

At the time it tumbled over at about 5:30 a.m., the SUV involved in the accident was carrying a total of five passengers, two girls and three boys. Apparently, all the victims were teenagers.

According to New York Daily News, the car's driver lost control of the vehicle after one of two other boys in the car, understood to be 16 years old, used a lighter to set his armpit hair on fire.

If the Inquisition taught us anything, that is that setting people on fire is downright idiotic and pretty painful for the person experiencing the torching. Apparently, the 16-year-old was not aware of this.

Information shared with the public says that, almost immediately after the 18-year-old stopped paying attention to the road because he was much more preoccupied with putting out his armpit, the SUV rolled over.

Despite the fact that none of the passengers in the car was wearing their seat belts at the time the SUV went haywire, neither of them suffered any life-threatening injuries. Not even the girls, who were thrown out of the vehicle.

Word has it that, after the teenagers were taken to a local hospital, the 18-year-old driver lied and said that he crashed the car while attempting to avoid an animal that was crossing the road. However, it did not take police officers all that long to figure out exactly what had happened.

What will happen to the teenagers

It is understood that, once the true cause of the accident was revealed, authorities in Idaho decide to present the 18-year-old with a citation for inattentive driving. The 16-year-old who set him on fire, on the other hand, was handed a citation for interfering with the safe operation of a vehicle.

Regardless of what police officers will do to them, there is little doubt that the scare they went through was more than enough to make these teenagers think twice before going on a joyride and trying to spice things up by setting some body parts on fire.
