While T-Mobile still has the Lumia 640 listed on its website as “coming soon,” customers who prefer to acquire their smartphones through brick and mortar stores can get Microsoft's handset for a very low price.

It looks like the folks over at WMPU have been tipped on the availability of the T-Mobile Lumia 640 at some Walmart locations. If you want to be sure that you will find the smartphone, then you will have to visit one particular Walmart store in Rochester, New York.

However, there might be other Walmart locations that sell the T-Mobile Lumia 640 early, though we can't yet confirm any. It's also worth mentioning that this version of the smartphone is cheaper than Cricket's variant.

For those unaware, Cricket Wireless is now selling the Lumia 640 for $130 on prepaid, while Walmart is now offering the T-Mobile Lumia 640 for just $99.76 outright.

Unfortunately, there's no telling whether or not the smartphone will still be in stock, since the 2 units that were available sold almost immediately.

The good news is that now we know for how much T-Mobile Lumia 640 will retail, so those who were wondering if it's worth the wait or not know the answer to this question.

Cricket and T-Mobile Lumia 640 have the same specs

Keep in mind that there won't be any differences between the Cricket and T-Mobile Lumia 640, so we expect the latter to come with Windows Phone 8.1 Updates 2 operating system right out of the box.

In addition, the smartphone will be equipped with a 1.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, Adreno 305 graphics processing unit, 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

The Lumia 640 also packs an 8-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash and full HD (1080p) video recording, as well as secondary 1-megapixel camera in the front that can capture HD (720p) video.

T-Mobile is expected to introduce the Lumia 640 in the coming weeks, though the most probably timeframe for its release is June. Stay tuned for more on this one.
