Square Enix Montreal is apparently working on a yet unannounced mobile game and looking to staff up in order to get things going.

The information comes from an update posted on Square Enix Montreal's Facebook page, talking about a "cool unannounced mobile game" and showing that the studio is expanding for the undertaking, looking to bolster its ranks by 14 members.

For the time being, there is no information on the upcoming title, and the studio hasn't provided any helpful hints either, although judging from the wording of the announcement, it might be related to one of the company's existing franchises.

Square Enix Montreal was initially put together to work on a new Hitman game for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One home consoles, but unfortunately, the game was canned.

The developers shifted focus to Hitman Go, a strategy spin-off game released on mobile platforms last year, and are now working on Hitman Sniper, a mobile shooter.

Hitman Sniper was initially supposed to come out late last year but was delayed in order to introduce some further polish into the gameplay.

IO Interactive teased fans of the series that they were getting ready to share some details on a new entry in the Hitman series sometime later this year, but that's what they said last year, so we can only cross our fingers and wait.
