Sony has just introduced its low-end Xperia E4 Dual smartphone in India. Unfortunately, just like other international brands launching phones in this country (Samsung, LG, HTC), Sony's smartphone is overpriced.

The Xperia E4 Dual is available for purchase in India for Rs 12,190 ($200 / €187) outright, FoneArena reports. Considering its low-end specs, the price is clearly too high.

Since there are many native handset makers in India that have much better smartphones priced lower than Sony's Xperia E4 Dual, you might want to skip this one if you're not a Sony fan.

But let's see what the Xperia E4 Dual has to offer for the price mentioned earlier. First of all, the handset comes with Android 4.4.4 KitKat operating system out of the box, which is a bit old even for an affordable smartphone.

The only advantage could be the dual-SIM technology included, which allows users to keep both SIMs active at the same time, so you won't miss any calls.

MediaTek chipset and 5-inch qHD display

On the inside, the Xperia E4 Dual is equipped with a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6582 processor, complemented by a Mali 400 graphics processing unit and 1GB of RAM.

The smartphone packs only 8GB of internal memory, but users can further expand storage up to 32GB via microSD card slot. There's also a 5-megapixel camera in the back with LED flash and video recording, as well as a secondary 2-megapixel camera in the front for video calls.

Sony Xperia E4 Dual sports a 5-inch qHD (540 x 960 pixels) capacitive touchscreen display and a decent 2300 mAh battery with Battery STAMINA Mode, which promises up to 48 hours of battery life.

When it comes to connectivity options, the Xperia E4 Dual offers both Wi-Fi and 3G, as well as Bluetooth, GPS with AGPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio. So what do you think? Would you buy one?
