Late last month, Sony Mobile introduced the Xperia C4 Dual in India and promised the smartphone would hit shelves sometime in mid-June.

Well, it looks like Sony made it available slightly earlier. Sony Xperia C4 Dual is now available for purchase in India for Rs 29,490 outright, which is about $460 or €410.

The mid-range smartphone is offered in three color versions, black, white and “mint,” from Sony Center, Xperia stores and other authorized resellers.

As the name suggests, the handset comes with dual-SIM support, but it also packs LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, microUSB 2.0, NFC (Near Field Communication), and GPS with AGPS.

The smartphone ships with the Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, so you will only have to wait for Android 5.1 now.

It also sports a more than decent 5.5-inch IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Sony Mobile BRAVIA Engine 2.

Octa-core CPU, 13MP rear camera and LTE are its main strong points

Although it's a mid-range device, the Xperia C4 Dual is equipped with a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 processor, which is complemented by a Mali-T760MP2 graphics processing unit and 2GB of RAM.

Another strong point of Sony's Xperia C4 Dual is the 13-megapixel camera on the back, which features autofocus, LED flash, and full HD (1080p) video recording.

There's also a secondary 5-megapixel camera in the front for selfies, which can capture HD video and features LED flash as well.

It's also worth mentioning that the smartphone is powered by a non-removable 2,600 mAh battery, which is rated by the manufacturer for up to 650 hours of standby or up to 13 hours of talk time.

Last but not least, Sony Xperia C4 Dual packs 16GB of internal memory, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD card slot.
