Andrew House, the chief executive officer of Sony Computer Entertainment, believes that the upcoming E3 2015 event will be an exciting one for current gen consoles and that the PlayStation 4 will have a few interesting surprises for its fans.

During the recent investor relations day the CEO stated, "I think that it will be a show where we see the next generation of hardware really start to deliver great content and great experiences that if not take full advantage of the platform, will a lot more advantage than we’ve seen before."

He says that the kinds of experiences that Sony is planning to show are designed to show the potential of the PlayStation 4, comparing them to the recently launched Bloodborne, which has been described as the first proper current-gen title.

Sony seems to be getting ready to reveal two previously unannounced titles at E3 2015.

Fans are speculating that a new title from Guerrilla Games and another project from Naughty Dog might be the focus of the company's presence.

Sony will also show off new experiences for the PS3 and the Vita, but they will be mainly trying to promote the unique features of the PlayStation 4.

Sony needs to deliver some more exclusives for the fall

At the moment, the PlayStation 4 continues to lead the Xbox One from Microsoft when it comes to overall sales, both worldwide and on the very important United States market.

But the Sony console has not managed to lead in the NPD Group compiled sales for the month of April, which might be a sign that it is losing some momentum.

Microsoft has been focused on the coming launch of Halo 5: Guardians, which will be introduced on the Xbox One on October 27.

The Master Chief powered title has the potential to dominate the holiday shopping season, and so far Sony does not have an exclusive that can challenge it.

Sony has ruled out a price cut for the PlayStation 4 for the moment, saying that it wants to introduce more quality for its fans via video games and other types of entertainment content.
