14 DAY TRIAL // The Instagram account of Snoop Dogg is a mishmash of ideas and various aspects of the artist's life, but it's also a personal account. This is where he decided to post a screenshot from a game (GTA IV most probably) of him using a Linux-powered laptop.
Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., also known as Snoop Dogg, is a famous rapper and music producer. He's very much plugged to the online world, and it's quite possible that he's also a gamer. He recently posted a screenshot from a GTA game in which he's cruising on a bridge in a writing desk while using a laptop with the GNOME logo on the back. He's also being followed by a Stormtrooper on a hoverbike from the Star Wars universe. If this doesn't get your attention, nothing will.
How do we know that it's a Linux laptop? Well, GNOME is a desktop environment that only works on Linux systems, so there aren't too many possibilities. The fact that he posted this on his Instagram account probably means that he also knows the significance.
The Linux community spotted it immediately
You might think that Snoop Dogg's world and the Linux community have little in common, but the Linux fans immediately noticed and the artist gathered more than 35,000 likes for his image, not to mention a lot of comments.
There is also a small possibility that he doesn't really know what he's posted or maybe he just found something funny in the gaming community and reshared it, but it's still a cool image, although he doesn't seem the type of guy that posts stuff blindly on Instagram.
