22-year-old Christopher Jones says the experience was without a doubt the scariest moment of his life

Some time ago, 22-year-old Christopher Jones from Australia suffered a seizure while taking part in a skydiving training course.

The experience would have surely proven far less traumatizing, had the young man experienced this seizure while on the ground or at least aboard his training plane.

However, this was not the case. As shown in the video below, Christopher Jones, who is suffering from epilepsy, seized and lost consciousness in midair.

Luckily, his instructor jumped to his rescue and managed to deploy his parachute. Even so, the young man kept falling freely while unconscious for about half a minute.

He says that, when we finally came to his senses, he was moving through the air at an altitude of about 3,000 feet (a little over 900 meters).

His instructor reassures that, even if he had not reached Christopher Jones, his parachute would have automatically opened at a lower altitude. Otherwise put, the young man was never really at risk.

Still, the 22-year-old says that this incident was by far the scariest experience of his life and that it will probably be a while until he decides to give skydiving another try.

Although the incident occurred back in November 2014, it was only yesterday that this video showing Christopher Jones free-falling while unconscious made it online.
