The app will look great on the BlackBerry Passport

BlackBerry introduced its Passport smartphone a few months ago. The handset was the first in the company’s lineup to come with the new BlackBerry 10.3 OS onboard, which brings forth things such as the BlackBerry Assistant and the all-new BlackBerry Hub with Instant Actions.

Well, those of you who have invested money into the smartphone will be happy to know an interesting treat is coming your way in 2015.

Unleash your creative potential with SketchBook

A new app called the SketchBook will be making its way onto the device, come next year. Actually, the application will be compatible with all handsets with BlackBerry 10 on top, but given that the Passport has a wider display, the virtual sketchbook setup will be more convenient.

What will the app bring to your life? You’ll basically be able to do whatever you’d be doing if you were using a good old physical notebook.

The app has been developed by India’s ReFocus Technology group and they have already posted a video teaser showing you what the application’s main features will be like. In the preview, the SketchBook is demoed on the BlackBerry Passport.

For example, we’re shown you’ll be able to choose from various formats of writing and coloring options in order to setup up things like to-do lists or shopping lists.

You can also draw and improvise however you like and you’re given a few ideas in the clip too.

We currently don’t know when the application is going to be released exactly, but if you find that the app might suit your needs, you can sign up with the developer’s Most Valued Customer program, so that you’ll be notified when SketchBook goes live on BlackBerry World.
