14 DAY TRIAL // Amazon has announced the availability of new firmware version targeted at several Kindle Fire tablets, which include general improvements, as well as system performance enhancements.
Specifically speaking, the producer has updated Kindle Fire HD 2nd Generation, HDX, and HDX 8.9" devices to Fire OS 11.4.1.1, 13.4.1.1, and 14.4.1.1, as well as Kindle Fire HD 7", HD 8.9", and 2nd Generation tablets to firmware 7.5.1, 8.5.1, and 10.5.1, respectively
An important aspects that I should highlight is that Fire OS build 4.1.1 can be installed only if the compatible tablets are currently powered by at least Amazon Kindle Fire OS 3.2.5.
Bear in mind that trying to apply this firmware with the device running version 3.2.4 or earlier will result into an update failure that can cause serious device malfunctions.
As for the installation steps, these are quite the same for all the above-mentioned devices. However, make sure not to interrupt the upgrade process or download the wrong firmware package as this will lead to unwanted results.
Therefore, save the appropriate .bin file for your device, carefully transfer it to the Kindle’s internal storage (root folder) using a USB cable, and then safely terminate the USB connection.
