14 DAY TRIAL // In what can only be called an odd move, Selena Gomez is reported to have enlisted the unique talents of Kris Jenner, the quintessential momager, as her own manager for her musical career. Normally, this wouldn't be such a shocker, since Kris has proven really good at promoting all of her girls and making them all successful in different fields.
The problem with this new business relationship is what lawyers would call a “conflict of interests.” In order to make way for a new manager in her life, Selena had to fire her old one, who just happens to be her own mother, Mandy Teefey.

Star Magazine claims that Teefey acted as Selena's manager until April, when the latter unceremoniously relieved her of her duties. An insider reveals that “Mandy understood Selena’s decision to upgrade her management. But she worried about Kris turning Selena into a trashy Kardashian.”
The other big problem with this collaboration is that Selena is currently at war with one of Kris' girls, namely Kendall, who seems to have sunken her teeth in Selena’s boyfriend, Justin Bieber. The two were seen together on a romantic date in Paris, which coincided with Selena breaking up with Justin again and leaving him high and dry in Paris while she went home to collect her things and move on.
Yet, Selena not only hired Kris, but she is said to also be infatuated with her new manager. Adds the friend: “On the rare occasion when Mandy does talk to her daughter, it’s ‘Kris says this’ and ‘Kris thinks that’ — Selena is completely under her spell.”
Kris has already taken her job seriously and has been schooling Selena on a number of things, like what to wear, where to go to be seen, what to share online, and Selena seems very happy to take it all in, all in the hopes of boosting her career.

Indeed, the singer has been sporting a new image, much cleaner and crisper than her previous look, on talk show visits she's recently done.
The insider reveals how “Selena spoke to Kris about her passion for spreading awareness about bully prevention and her desire to make a difference. October is National Bullying Prevention Month. Kris told Selena that she would help her with her cause and thanked her for her efforts to raise awareness.”
The two are the best of friends at the moment, but all this kissing up to Kris Jenner is said to be driving Selena's mother nuts. Another person that might be annoyed at the concept of the two becoming BFs could be Justin Bieber, or even Kendall Jenner herself, who might see this move as a way of her mother working with “the enemy.”
The fact that Kris Jenner has become Selena Gomez' new manager is still not official.
