Samsung officially introduced the improved version of the Galaxy S5 back in August, but the so-called Galaxy S5 4G+ was only available for purchase in Singapore.

However, it looks like the smartphone was quite popular among Android fans; otherwise, we can’t think of another reason that Samsung would want to bring the improved version of Galaxy S5 to other countries.

According to Dutch blog site GalaxyClub, the Galaxy S5 4G+ has been listed at Samsung Netherlands, which means the smartphone will be available for purchase in Europe pretty soon.

Unlike the original model announced a few months ago, the European version will be called Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus, which makes more sense considering the smartphone comes with a better CPU as well, not just faster LTE-A support.

Speaking of which, Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus will be equipped with a 2.5GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 805 processor inside, as opposed to Galaxy S5 which is powered by a Snapdragon 801 CPU clocked at the same value.

Aside from that, the Plus version offers LTE-A support, which allows for up to 225Mbps download speeds and up to 50Mbps upload speeds.

The only other indication beside specs that this is indeed the Galaxy S5 4G+ announced two months ago would be the fact that it’s been listed under the same codename, G901F.

There are no differences between the two versions except for LTE-A and CPU

The rest of the Galaxy S5 Plus features are similar to the standard model, so expect the same 5.0-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 3.

It also comes with the same amount of RAM (2GB) and storage (16GB). The Galaxy S5 Plus will be powered by a 2800 mAh battery, which has yet to be rated by Samsung.

On the back, it sports a 16-megapixel camera with autofocus, LED flash and 4K video recording, while in the front there’s the same 2-megapixel camera that’s been included in the standard model.

Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is expected to ship with Android 4.4.3 KitKat operating system out of the box, but is likely to receive an Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade in the coming months.

It’s unclear when exactly the smartphone will be available for purchase and for how much, but we expect Samsung to introduce the Galaxy S5 Plus in more European countries. Potential customers will probably want to know that the handset will go on sale in Blue, Black, White and Gold.
