Samsung Galaxy J series is aimed at youngsters, which is one of the reasons the smartphones included in the lineup are priced lower than other devices in the same spec range.

Affordability is one of the main selling points of the Galaxy J series, which now includes only two products: Samsung Galaxy J and Galaxy J1.

The good news is the South Korean company plans to expand the Galaxy J series with new devices that will probably be launched on the market in the coming months.

This is not the first time we spot the Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7, but now we have a clear indication that Samsung plans to release them very soon.

Both smartphones have received Bluetooth certification, which means Samsung fans won't have to wait too long for the handset maker to put them on sale.

Mid-range Lollipop smartphones for emerging markets

Luckily, the previous leak also contains information about these Galaxy J series smartphones' specs, so here is a quick recap for those out of the loop.

Samsung Galaxy J5 is a dual-SIM smartphone that will also come in single SIM version. The handset sports a 5-inch HD (720p) resolution, a 64-bit quad-core Qualcomm Snapdargon 410 processor, 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal memory.

It will also come with microSD card slot for memory expansion (up to 64GB), as well as 2,600 mAh battery. The Galaxy J6 weighs about 149g and is only 8.5mm thin.

Moving on to Galaxy J7, this one has a much larger 5.5-inch HD (720p) display that packs an octa-core Marvel PXA1936 chipset, 1GB or 2GB of RAM and a 3,000 mAh battery.

Both smartphones will come with 13-megapixel rear-facing cameras with autofocus, LED flash and video recording, along with 5-megapixel cameras in the front for selfies and video calls.

Software-wise, Samsung Galaxy J5 and Galaxy J7 will ship with Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with TouchWiz UI on top.
