The 512MB version of Galaxy Ace 4 hasn't been confirmed

A few days ago a certain carrier in the UK stated that Galaxy S4 mini won't be getting the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop update, which was previously confirmed by Samsung.

However, a few hours later another carrier in Ireland announced that the long-awaited update has already been approved for the Galaxy S4 mini and that owners will be able to download it in the coming weeks.

Although the update is only available in the UK for the moment, it's safe to assume that Samsung will continue the rollout globally in the next couple of days.

But the Galaxy S4 mini won't be the only smartphone to receive Android 5.0 Lollipop update this year. It looks like those who own budget-friendly Samsung smartphones will be getting the upgrade as well.

According to a new report, Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 LTE (SM-G313F), Samsung Galaxy Ace Style LTE (SM-G357) and Samsung Galaxy Ace Style (SM-G357FZ) will also receive an upgrade to Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Unfortunately, there's no timeframe for the release of the update, so we will need to wait until more info emerges online, or Samsung makes an official announcement.

Not all Galaxy Ace versions have been confirmed to receive the update

As some of you may know, the Galaxy Ace models mentioned earlier are equipped with 1GB of RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processors.

However, the Samsung Galaxy Ace 4 (SM-G357F) model which packs only 512MB of RAM and Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor hasn't been confirmed for the Lollipop update yet.

This doesn't necessarily mean that the 512MB version won't be getting the update in the end, but it's an indication that the smartphone hasn't yet passed the testing for the Lollipop update.

In case Samsung will be able to make the Galaxy Ace 4 (SM-G357F) run Android 5.0 Lollipop despite the fact that it only comes with 512MB of RAM, we're sure that the South Korean company will provide the upgrade to all users.
