The development team at Volition has not yet offered too many information on the upcoming Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell title, but the team is ready to show gamers some concept art that is being used as the basis for the creation of new characters, unique to the experience which is supposed to be offered early next year.

Satan will be the main antagonist that players will have to battle and his look is a rather classical one, although it's unclear how much biological detail will be present in the final version of the video game.

His daughter Jezebel is also important to the plot of Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell.

Volition states, "Happy Thanksgiving, Saints! The holidays are a time for family, no matter how dysfunctional. In Saints Row: Gat out of Hell, Satan has very particular ideas about his daughter Jezebel’s future, but she seems to have other plans."

There are also images for Dracula, who seems to be a capable warrior open to interactions, and Shakespeare, who is apparently a DJ in Hell, although the developers are not saying how he ended up down there.

At the moment, we know that gamers will be able to control either Johnny Gat or Kinzie Kensington as they travel through the fiery realm in order to rescue the soul of the leader of the Saints.

They will have to battle a wide variety of capable and demonic enemies, while also interacting with a number of the characters that have defined the history of the series.

Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell is a standalone expansion

Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell is at the moment set to be launched on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, the PlayStation 4 from Sony, and last-gen consoles on January 20 in North America and three days later in Europe.

The core gameplay of the standalone expansion will be similar to that of the core Saints Row experience, but the team has already said that it plans to include some new weapon designs that are suited to the overall Hell theme.

Saints Row IV: Re-Elected is also set to be launched in early 2015 and allows gamers to experience the classic open world title, with all the launched downloadable content, on the current generation of hardware, with improved graphics.

Volition has not announced whether it is working on Saints Row V at the moment.
