The best CPU available is the Core i7-4790K

With all the high-end hardware being tossed around at the moment, you'd think that all gaming PC would have integrated the newest toys by now, but that doesn't seem to be the case, not with products like Syber's Vapor Xtreme system still walking around.

The product is an odd beast, featuring the latest graphics cards from NVIDIA but not offering the newest Intel CPUs as an option.

That means that instead of the Core i7-5960X (16 threads, a base clock of 3 GHz, a Turbo Boost maximum frequency of 3.5 GHz, 20 MB Intel Smart Cache and a TDP of 140W), the best processor is the Intel Core i7-4790K (4.0 GHz, 8MB Intel Smart Cache).

Then again, as far as gaming PCs go, the Syber Vapor Xtreme is a bit less, well, extreme than others. It doesn't have multiple graphics cards, for example.

The specs of the Vapor Xtreme

Besides the CPU we've already mentioned, the newcomer boasts 8 GB of DDR3 memory at 1,600 MHz, a SATA 6.0 Gbps HDD with a capacity of 1 TB, and of course, the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 4 GB GDDR5 graphics card.

This is just the base configuration though. There are many other options in all cases, some of which add to the price, some of which detract from it.

Curiously, the AMD graphics options are quite few, overshadowed by the reference NVIDIA and OEM cards (like EVGA Superclocked NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 4GB GDDR5).

Ultimately, it boils down to how much money you have available for spending on something like this. If you can't afford more than a hundred and fifty bucks, or less, you can skip some of the cooler stuff. After all, you'll be able to upgrade the hardware yourself later, when you raise more cash.

In addition to the core components we mentioned before, you also get USB 3.0, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11ac WiFi and a wireless gamepad (Logitech F710), plus a wireless keyboard and touchpad.

As for store, you can, of course, go with exclusive HDD support, exclusive SSD support, or a combination of the two.
