Valve is preparing a new spree of discounts

The Steam Fall Sale, aka the Thanksgiving one for those in the USA, kicks off on November 26, at least according to payment website Paypal, which confirms it during a promotion for its digital Steam Wallet gift cards.

The end of the year brings quite a few different offers for people, and gamers in particular can take advantage of all sorts of different deals and sales, starting, of course, with the Steam service offered by Valve.

The special Halloween sale already took place at the end of last month, and now, ahead of the long-awaited Winter sale that's going to take place next month, Valve is preparing a fall sale to celebrate Thanksgiving in the USA and the end of the fall season in the rest of the world.

The Steam Fall Sale begins this week

While it was rather obvious that the sale would kick off this week, Paypal, through a special listing of its Steam Wallet gift cards, confirms that the actual fall sale begins on November 26.

As such, the payment website advises users to stock up on their Steam wallet codes so that they're ready to buy games when the sale starts.

"Save on thousands of games during Steam’s Fall Sale starting November 26. Now’s the time to stock up on Steam Wallet Codes from the PayPal Digital Gift Store, so when the sales starts, you’re ready to buy for yourself, friends and family," the announcement says.

The fine print also confirms that the Steam Fall Sale ends on December 1, so it certainly seems legitimate.

Expect big price cuts

Based on previous fall sales, Valve is expected to offer quite a lot of different discounts on a wide array of games, both in terms of independent titles that are already priced considerably low and in terms of blockbuster, triple-A titles that are currently full priced on Steam.

For bargain hunters, it's worth remembering that most of these discounts will return during the winter sale. Some price cuts might be steeper during the winter celebration but these fall ones won't disappoint, at least considering past experiences.

As of yet, Valve hasn't offered any kind of confirmation or comment concerning the dates leaked by Paypal but the company is notorious for its lack of communication concerning certain things like sales or controversies like the recent cheating scandals that are happening around Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Even so, expect the Steam Fall Sale later this week.
