Curve Digital announces that its 2D puzzle platformer Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones is coming to the Xbox One, PlayStation 3, Playstation 4, Playstation Vita and PC, sometime in early April.

All of the game's version will be released at the same time across all platforms, breaking the shackles of Wii U exclusivity. The game was released on Nintendo's home console last October, and it offers a combination of stealth platforming merged with Metroidvania style world exploration.

Stealth Inc 2: A Game of Clones also offers players the chance to customize their characters, and greatly expands on the original's premise, making everything bigger and better.

Jason Perkins, Curve Digital's managing director, stated that the team took all the feedback from Stealth Inc: A Clone in the Dark and did their best to make the sequel not only a larger game but one with improving pacing and balance, in order to provide the best possible experience.

A greatly improved sequel

Players assume control of a goggle-wearing clone and then proceed to make their way through a facility filled to the brim with hazards and patrolled by relentless robot sentries.

Gameplay revolves around sneaking through the shadows, as the character risks instant death if he is spotted by the sentries in full light.

The game was praised for the clever way in which it mixes traditional platforming with navigation puzzles and sneaking mechanics, being likened to a crossover between Super Meat Boy and Metal Gear Solid.

The indie platformer was a genuine success, having sold over a million copies across all available platforms, and its sequel is likely to follow suit. The game's initial title was Stealth Bastard Deluxe: Tactical Espionage Arsehole, but the company had to change it to the much less awesome Stealth Inc in order to release it on Sony's platforms.

Many gamers confessed to the game being one of the best titles available on the Wii U eShop in 2014. Now, other gamers will be able to enjoy the new challenges. For the time being, there is no exact launch date, nor details on pricing.
