Over the weekend, a big party went down in London, with guests like J.J. Abrams, Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, and Mark Hamill among the guests. The media naturally assumed that this was a wrap party and that production on Disney’s “Star Wars: Episode VII” was done.

It turns out that this was really the case. Disney has just confirmed on Twitter that principal photography on the film has wrapped, but because that alone wasn’t too exciting a piece of news, it also offered something else to fans: the official title.

So the much-hyped “Star Wars” film, the one that will reboot one of cinema’s most popular film franchises, will be called… *drumroll*… “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.”

The idea of having “awakens” in the title is definitely a good one, because it conveys the clear message to existing fans that this will still be the film franchise they fell in love with, even if it will also go out of its way to be welcoming to newbies as well.

Still, don’t imagine that this hasn’t prompted some hilarious jokes online. From the lot I’ve seen so far, perhaps the one I laughed hardest at was about how the Force has been taking a disco nap until now, and it’s now awake to get its groove back on.

Disney also included a visual to go with the title. It helps to better understand the “disco nap” joke.

On a more serious note, the new “Star Wars” film will be out in December 2015 and will kick off a new franchise to go up against the revived “Star Trek.” It is based on a script by J.J. Abrams, who is also in the director’s chair.

Joining franchise stars Hamill, Ford, and Fisher (and Anthony Daniels and Peter Mayhew) are Andy Serkis, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Adam Driver, and Lupita Nyong’o.
