Star Wars Battlefront is one of the most expected titles of the fall season and it seems that the team at Microsoft is eager to promote the fact that the video game will be first offered in a playable state on the Xbox One home console.

The information comes from a Twitter message in which Aaron Greenberg, the leader of the marketing department for the Microsoft home console, responds to some of the players who are enthusiastic about the game.

The executive has not offered any other details about the timing of the title's launch.

It's highly unlikely that Microsoft has managed to get a true exclusivity deal for Star Wars Battlefront.

Presumably, Greenberg is talking about the fact that the title will be introduced on the EA Access service that Electronic Arts has launched on the home console.

This means that Xbox One players will be able to play around 10 hours of the title about a week before it is officially launched.

The progress they make in Star Wars Battlefront will be transferred to the full version of the title, and subscribers to EA Access will also benefit from a 10 percent price cut.

Electronic Arts has not offered any info about how it is planning to launch the game, and no date for it has been officially mentioned other than fall.

An official trailer for Star Wars Battlefront will be revealed on April 17 at the Star Wars Celebration, which will take place in Anaheim, California.

Star Wars Battlefront will introduce new features to the series

Although the developers at DICE have shown a few sequences created using the Frostbite 3 engine that powers the shooter, no info about the gameplay has been disclosed so far.

It seems that the studio is aiming to introduce a new Hero system, allowing players to get points as they play which can be used to gain temporary access to a powerful character, including Jedi and Sith.

Star Wars Battlefront will apparently cover all the history of the franchise, with levels focused on the most interesting battles and their outcomes.

The new movie in the series, called The Force Awakens, will play a relatively small part in the game because Electronic Arts and Disney are worried about the potential impact of spoilers.
