The developers at DICE and publisher Electronic Arts are currently in the process of preparing the booth for Star Wars Battlefront at the official Star Wars Celebration, and they have revealed some new art for the game that might be designed to appear in promotional material or on the cover.

A Reddit user was lucky enough to get to the event before the doors opened, and he posted an image that shows an interesting take on some familiar elements from the universe.

A Star Destroyer can be seen in the background, AT-ATs and AT-STs are fighting on the ground, and a blaster sits in the center of the image.

TIE fighters and their X-wing opponents are also engaged in a battle in the skies, and a lightsaber can also be seen on the right.

It's interesting to note that the Star Wars Battlefront image is mainly focused on war vehicles and on air and space engagements, even if the video game is mostly focused on combat between soldiers that move on foot and use light weaponry.

The first official footage from the new DICE and Electronic Arts video game will be shown on Friday, April 17, at 10:30 AM Pacific Standard Time, but the streaming for the entire event starts later today with other panels and reveals about the franchise.

Star Wars Battlefront aims to reboot the entire series

DICE has said that it wants to use the power of new hardware, like the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, to expand the scope of the Battlefront series in interesting ways.

Rumors from sources associated with the development process are suggesting that gamers will be able to take part in big battles that involve air and space assets, with orbital bombardment involved towards the end of a match.

A new Hero system is being implemented, which will allow players to get access to points based on their performance.

They can be then cashed in to get access to more powerful characters, including Jedi and Sith wielding lightsabers.

Star Wars Battlefront will not have too much content based on the upcoming The Force Awakens movie.

The title is expected to arrive on current-gen consoles and the PC before the end of the year, with some sites talking about December 10 as the chosen date.
