Video game developer DICE and publisher Electronic Arts have just confirmed that they will offer a more comprehensive look at the upcoming Star Wars: Battlefront, but the two companies are ready to also tease the game until then, apparently using short videos with cryptic messages.

The official Twitter account of the brand at the company has posted a short message about a stuck speeder and the upcoming Star Wars Celebration, which also includes 30 seconds of footage featuring some vehicles and a good look at the snowy surface of Hoth.

The final moment focuses on a powerful AT-AT as it steps right in front of the camera, suggesting the scale Battlefront will offer on launch.

A fuller look at the game will be delivered for all those interested during the Star Wars Celebration that will take place between April 16 and 19 in Anaheim, California.

It's unclear whether there are plans for even a small portion of the game to be offered in a playable state or if the developers will focus on showing video from it.

Electronic Arts plans to launch Star Wars: Battlefront during the holiday season on the PC, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the PlayStation 4 from Sony.

The shooter will focus on teamwork and history

DICE has not been too forthcoming about the mechanics of Star Wars: Battlefront, but a leak is suggesting that gamers will be able to play through some of the most important battles that were fought in the fictional universe.

Some moments from the coming The Force Awakens movie will also be included, but they will not be connected to its core story.

Gamers will be able to take the side of both the Jedi and the Sith, and a new Hero progression system is designed to allow them to become very powerful on the battlefield as long as they perform well.

Star Wars fans will also be able to engage in complex land and space battles and there are plans to include a Premium system.

32 gamers will be engaged on each side and it seems that the destructible nature of the terrain will play a major role in the title, as it has previously happened in the Battlefield series.
