The team at Roberts Space Industries is announcing that it is opening up the game it is working on, Star Citizen, more than ever before and that all those who have backed the experience now have access to the Public Test Universe and can also try out a build of Arena Commander 1.0.1.

The company wants as many players as possible to experience what it has to offer and to test out the mechanics that are being added, which will result in solid feedback and in other improvements for the space sim.

The warning in the Roberts Space Industries official announcement explains that “You’re one of the first people testing a new build which can often be unstable or otherwise non-functional. If you’re serious about helping us test Star Citizen, accessing the PTU and reporting bugs on the forums is one of the biggest services you can provide… but if you’re looking for a clean dogfight, you may want to stick to the standard build.”

Arena Commander 1.0.1 for Star Citizen is designed to mostly fix bugs, all of them seen in the previous version and also flagged by members of the community.

More content for this section of the game will be included in version 1.1, which is at the moment in the testing phase and does not have a list of all the changes that are being implemented.

All those interested can use the official site to gain access to the Star Citizen PTU.

The testing mode will also be disabled at times, according to the development team.

European gamers should pick up their favorite Star Citizen content soon

Recently, Roberts Space Industries has announced that it plans to introduce a new headquarters in Europe and that means that starting on February 1 gamers who live on the continent will need to pay Value Added Tax for all the content they buy, which means higher prices for a significant part of the community.

The company plans to run a special offer later in the month in order to give players access to some ships and encourages all those who have been saving up to spend their money on Star Citizen as soon as possible.
