14 DAY TRIAL // Tricia Helfer, the actress best known for her role in the Battlestar Galactica television series, is announcing that she has recorded her dialogue for the upcoming Legacy of the Void expansion for Starcraft 2, reprising her role as Kerrigan and Queen of the Zerg.
The information comes from a Facebook post on her official account and her wording does not make it clear whether she has finished her voice acting assignment or if there are plans to record more in the future.
Tricia Helfer was also part of the first two titles in the current version of Starcraft and it’s unclear at the moment how extensive her part in Legacy of the Void will be.
Blizzard has not offered too much information about the storyline of the title so far, but the single-player campaign will be focused on the Protoss faction and their attempts to stop the destruction of all life in the universe.
Artanis will be the main protagonist, with Patrick Seitz taking on the role, and Jim Raynor and Sarah Kerrigan will play supporting roles.
The narrative of Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void is designed to allow players to gain access to a number of units based on the tribes they manage to join forces with, while other abilities remain locked based on gamer choices.
At the moment, the title does not have an official launch date, but a leak says that it should be out during the second financial quarter of this year, with Blizzard planning to deliver a beta version of it in the coming months.
Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void will also include multiplayer changes
Blizzard will introduce a new cooperative experience in the new strategy game, called Archon Mode and Allied Commander.
At the same time, new units are being added to the multiplayer modes and the abilities of the already existing ones are being tweaked, but a full list of changes has not been offered yet.
Starcraft 2: Legacy of the Void will be delivered as an expansion and that means players do not have to own the base release in order to play with others.
