“The Avengers” cast is still doing the media rounds to promote the latest installment in Marvel’s franchise, “Age of Ultron,” so Robert Downey Jr., who plays Tony Stark / Iron Man, stopped by Jimmy Fallon the other night.

Together, they did one of Fallon’s most popular segments, the Emotional Interview one.

The gist is simple: they talk as if they were doing a talk show interview, and at the sound of a bell, they’re to convey whatever emotion producers have prepared for them. This applies both to the interviewer and the guest, which was RDJ in this case.

Among the emotions that came up, there was “annoyingly philosophical” and “Robert smells Bacon,” but also “Jimmy forgot about Robert’s birthday” and “Robert doesn’t know what a car is.”

The result was a hilarious mixture of mumbo-jumbo and some decent acting, with a couple of moments when both Robert and Jimmy completely lost their cool and got out of character, because they couldn’t stop giggling.

You can see the segment in full below.

“Age of Ultron” also stars Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, Mark Ruffalo, James Spader, and Paul Bettany. It will be out in most theaters starting May 1, this Friday.
