All the Robolinux flavors have been upgraded

Robolinux is an easy-to-use Linux distribution based on Debian that features various flavors. The developers have just upgraded all the flavors and have announced that the new 7.8.2 version is out and comes with many interesting features.

Robolinux made its name by promising users to let them run Windows apps inside a Linux distribution, without having to run those apps through a compatibility layer like Wine. This is done with a technology called StealthVM, which basically creates a working virtual environment. It takes its toll on the hardware and the apps don't work natively, but it's a solution.

Now the developers are also saying that they intend to provide a premiere solution for online privacy by implementing a number of features that should make the user anonymous online. This is supposedly done with a series of various applications that work in tandem, and this particular release says that it has "Full Scale X4 Privacy & Security!" or at least this is what the developer claims.

Robolinux 7.8.2 is a major upgrade

This is the first that the developer has provided an upgrade for all the flavors at the same time, and that should be an indication of how much importance is placed on the 7.8.2 branch.

"Robolinux is pleased to announce 'Full Scale X4 Privacy & Security!' built into all Robolinux Gnome KDE Xfce & LXDE Versions 7.8.2 Our Users asked us for proactive maximum privacy & security so we delivered four industrial strength solutions. 1. Anonymous Encrypted Browsing, 2. Encrypted Password Vault, Ultra Secure IPV6 Firewall, 4. Maximum Antivirus Protection," the official announcement notes.

The makers of Robolinux have also said that the system comes with a secure browser profile for anonymous web browsing, the GUFW Ultra Secure IPV6 Firewall is implemented by default, and of course, the Stealth VM Software that should allow users to run any Windows application.

More details about the Stealth VM Software and Robolinux can be found in the official changelog. Moreover, you can download Robolinux GNOME 7.8.2 right now from Softpedia for both 32-bit and 64-bit architectures, along with the KDE, LXDE, and Xfce flavors.
