The development team at Harmonix is ready to confirm that it plans to launch the new Rock Band 4 on October 6 of this year on both the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4, like a retail listing from Amazon suggested earlier in the day.

The trailer attached to this article shows how the company plans to implement one of the major new features of the music game - the ability to deliver extensive freestyle sections on the guitar.

The company also says that those who are ready to place a pre-order will get access to more than 30 extra songs, although a full list of them has not been offered and four seems to be only offered if Rock Band 4 is obtained early on Amazon.

Harmonix states, "Guitarists can bust out unique guitar solos of their own with the game’s innovative new Freestyle Guitar Solo gameplay, no music lessons or expertise needed. Accessible and fun right out of the gate, Freestyle Guitar Solo gameplay features remarkable depth, allowing expert players to express themselves by string together face-melting licks and create truly original solos."

There are also updates for the people who prefer to sing vocal parts and better support for drum fills.

Rock Band 4 also has a new system that allows players to interact with the crowds and see how they perform based on their reactions.

Harmonix also has a special campaign for the music title

The development team has also announced that it will offer a new single-player mode for Rock Band 4 that features more role-playing moments, allowing gamers to create their own take on a legendary career, choosing whether to sell out or to stay true to their roots.

Harmonix also says that it will introduce new features that will allow the music sim to evolve as players engage with it.

The full song list for the game has not been revealed yet, but some of the best bands in the world will be involved.

The development team has designed Rock Band 4 from the ground up with an eye to the past, allowing all fans to use the instruments that they already have and to import all the songs they have already paid for.
