Resident Evil: Revelations 2, the next survival horror game from Capcom, has just received a couple of videos showcasing some of its most imposing monsters, not to mention some details about the bonus content that's included in the game's various versions in North America or Europe.

Resident Evil: Revelations 1 impressed quite a lot of long-time franchise fans thanks to its emphasis on survival horror, instead of action like in other entries in the series. As such, Capcom announced last year that it was working on a Revelations 2 installment, which retains the horror feel while adding new protagonists and fresh adventures.

The game was initially set to roll out in the form of an episodic experience in February but Capcom pushed back its release last week, in order to allow for a bit more polishing and to ensure that everything would go off without a hitch.

New videos highlight the imposing enemies

Now, on the Capcom-Unity website, the studio shares two mighty scary videos with some of the most fearsome creatures in the new game. First up, you can see the Orthrus, which are similar to wolves as they form packs to easily take down bigger prey. There's also the Sploder, which, like its name suggests, can explode and deal massive damage to players if they're not stopped from afar.

Bear in mind that some monsters might appear only in the Claire Redfield campaign, while others will only be present in the Barry Burton adventure, as Revelations 2 has two intertwining plot threads.

Bonus content is available with some versions of the game

While players have the chance to buy the game's four different episodes as they launch every week, Capcom wants to motivate them to buy either the whole season or the retail disc across the PC, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, or Xbox One.

Those who get the retail disc will be able to access exclusive costumes for the main characters, not to mention two exclusive Raid mode characters in the form of Albert Wesker and Hunk. Speaking of Raid mode, they'll also get the Throwback map pack that includes four different stages. Last but not least, they'll also get bonus sequences for episodes 1 and 2.

Those who get the complete season will get the two aforementioned bonus episodes, as well as Hunk for Raid mode.

Check out the new videos and the content images for Resident Evil: Revelations 2 below. Look forward to the debut of the first episode on February 24.
