A few days ago we reported the Xbox One version of Resident Evil HD Remaster went on pre-order, but only in North America. The game still doesn’t show up on European PSN and Xbox Live Marketplace, but it might arrive any moment now.

PC gamers, however, can rest easy as the Capcom’s remastered version of Resident Evil has just landed on Valve’s digital distribution store. Just like the Xbox One / PlayStation 4 versions, you can grab the PC game from Steam for €19.99 ($19.99).

According to Capcom, there will be bonuses offered to those who pre-purchase Resident Evil HD Remaster from Steam. If you are one of the fans who wants to pre-order the game, then you should know that you will also receive the Soundtrack Selects and G. Trevor Mansion Guide digital artbook for free.

The offer will end on the day Resident Evil HD Remaster has been confirmed for release, January 20. A pre-load will be available for the game as well, so you can download and install it before it gets launched.

The game suffered many improvements to both visuals and sound

The remastered version of the original Resident Evil comes with lots of visual improvements, such as post-processing effects like Bloom filters, high-res environments, more details, and non-static 3D models.

The game also features widescreen (16:9) support. Keep in mind though that while in this mode, the screen will scroll. The parts of the screen that get cut off on the top and bottom will scroll into view automatically according to the character’s position. This shouldn’t be a hindrance for players, but if it becomes one, then they can switch to other display mode in real time.

Sounds have been improved as well, so players will be able to take advantage of 5.1 channels output support. The whole audio of the original game has been remastered to provide a better sampling rate.

Last but not least, the game features full controller support, but you can also play with mouse and keyboard and switch the control scheme during gameplay in real time.
