The game is coming to the PS4 at an unknown future date

Developer Wild Sheep Studio has released a fresh batch of screenshots from its upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusive Wild.

The mysterious game comes from the maker of Rayman and Beyond Good & Evil, Michael Ancel. The action is set around 10,000 years ago, in a pre-historic environment infused with magic and a diversity of fauna.

The game is meant to be an online survival adventure, where you can play as either a human or an animal, in a sprawling environment around the size of Europe, which sounds pretty ambitious.

The immense landmass you'll be able to play is filled with interactive opportunities, which sounds even more exciting, given that you can play as a wolf, a goat, a horse or even a fish.

One of the game's main draws will be the constant discovery and surprise, and judging from the images in the gallery below, there will be a lot of interesting stuff to find.

Wild was initially announced at Gamescom 2014, during Sony's press conference, and is in the early stages of development. So early, that the studio is still hiring people on various positions. If you're interested, you can find out more on the Wild Sheep Studio website.

For the time being, Wild does not have a prospective release date and has only been announced for the PlayStation 4 home entertainment system from Sony.
