Publisher Ubisoft and the development team in Montreal working on Rainbow Six: Siege are ready to confirm that the upcoming title will be running at 60 frames per second across all the platforms on which it will be launched.

All players who are part of the closed testing phase for the title will be able to see how the frame rate makes the game smooth and allows them to focus on their tactics and execution.

Andrew Witts, a gameplay designer working on Rainbow Six: Siege, states on the official blog that "With the game being all about indoor close quarter combat, we are making sure that 60 FPS and low latency are mandatory so that player’s input is fast and responsive."

The studio in Montreal has not yet made a decision about resolutions for Rainbow Six: Siege, and it seems that they will only be decided once more testing and optimization has been done for the video game.

The alpha is allowing gamers to play on one map that was first shown in E3 2014 but also includes the entirely new Plane environment.

Witts says that the three-level battlefield has been created to test the limits of Rainbow Six: Siege, and since the results were solid enough, the team decided to see what players think about it.

During the testing phase, Ubisoft wants gamers to offer as much feedback as possible to make the entire experience better.

Rainbow Six: Siege got some negative reactions from fans

When the first gameplay video taken from the shooter was leaked, a lot of long-term fans of the franchise criticized the game for being much too fast and too close to the pace of Call of Duty.

Since then, Ubisoft has explained that it wants to mix accessibility with classic gameplay elements.

The company claims that feedback will be used to decide how certain mechanics and ideas evolve.

The launch version of the game will include a big slice of realism and plenty of destructible elements for all maps.

No public beta date has yet been announced for Rainbow Six: Siege, but all those who place a pre-order will get an invitation.

The game will be offered on the PlayStation 4 from Sony, the Xbox One from Microsoft, and the PC.
