The mobile gaming industry has already earned its place among the largest entertainment businesses in the world. Many games that are now launched on consoles and PC make their debut on mobile platforms as well sooner or later.

Games like Candy Crush Saga, FarmVille, Subway Surfers paved the way for more “complex” titles such as the newest Tales from the Borderlands or the not-so-old X-Com: Enemy Unknown.

Just about any game that gets released on either Android or iOS, the most popular mobile platforms, has a chance to become popular, it just needs visibility.

Playworld Superheroes is new game that will be launched on both Android and iOS platforms next month. Developed by UK-based studio Starship, Playworld Superheroes promised to bring real-time crafting to mobile.

In Playworld Superheroes, players will be able to design, customize and then become a superhero of their own creation. Aimed at players of 5+, the game is meant to spark the imagination and creativity while having fun.

This is just the first adventure in the series, but more will follow

According to developers, Playworld Superheroes will be just one of the first in a series of adventures that will bring real-time crafting in the mobile world. Many others will be available for download in January, 2015.

The game tries to tap into a niche that hasn’t been explored too much by mobile game developers. Mixing crafting and creativity “with moral and eco-messages against the backdrop of a Hollywood spectacle” might not be to everyone’s taste.

The game is set in a city garden full of junk and unloved cast-offs and each chapter of the game begins in the Playworld treehouse, which plays the role of a crafting hub where game’s themes come to life.

The first adventure in the series sees the player take on the role of a superhero and battle against the mischievous Golumites.

Golumites are a mob of alien nature with the sole purpose to destroy Playworld. Obviously, you can’t let that happen, so you must defeat playful enemies on the ground, jumping back to the real world to craft new tools and gadgets to level up their powers.

Heroes can also take to the skies to overcome their greatest challenge yet. Basically, you will switch world armed only with their imagination and try to save the two universes.

“With the Playworld series, we want to empower that creativity by giving kids the coolest crafting package to create their ultimate alter-ego. That creativity is rewarded with a spectacular experience in which they act out their wildest superhero fantasies,” said Martin Kenwright, founder of Starship.
