It seems like the Holiday season is going to be nicer for folks in Europe using PayPal for their purchases

PayPal is making it easy for people to return their wrong shipments, especially now that the holiday shopping season is approaching fast.

In Europe, PayPal has teamed up with TELUS International Europe to offer users refunds for their return shipping costs. “You can now shop online with PayPal and if your purchase isn’t quite right, return it, your postage will be refunded. Worldwide,” the company notes.

PayPal will support three returns through December 31, 2014, the company said, with the only necessity being to keep the posting receipts.

Asking for refunds is quite easy with PayPal. All you have to do is download the form and fill it in, add your purchase and posting receipts and email the documents to the company.

Basically, any purchases you’re going to make in the coming months, from any corner of the world, will be safe even if you’re not going to get exactly what you were dreaming of when you clicked the “buy” button. If you’re worried that returning the product will cost you quite a bit, then PayPal has got you covered.

This is quite an incentive for those who want to get ahead of holiday shopping. The company is making sure that you’ll pick PayPal over other payment methods, especially for those pricier purchases where shipping costs an arm and a leg and returning the product may just not be worth it.

“If, within the return period and in accordance with the return conditions authorized by the seller or merchant, for items entirely paid using your PayPal account, You decide, for whatever reason, not to keep said items and to return them to the seller or merchant, You may issue refund request of the shipping costs (hereinafter: the ‘Refund request’) related to that return,” PayPal writes.

Where is it available?

The service is valid for returns made by users in the Czech Republic, Finland, Greece, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Lithuania, Slovenia, Croatia, Latvia, Estonia, Cyprus, or Malta via regular mail, courier or any other regular shipping options or services.

Users have 14 days to send a Refund request and send their files via email from the data on which they returned the items.

There are several situations in which the refunded returns aren’t covered, such as immaterial or intangible goods and coupons, deliveries where the return is already covered by the merchant, items that cannot be returned in accordance with the seller or merchant’s general conditions of sale. Items which are paid for wholly or partially in cash aren’t covered either.
