Adobe seems determined to get its premium offerings in the hands of as many users as possible via an update to its Photoshop Express app for iDevices. The company is giving away paid features in the free app for a limited time.

Adobe Photoshop Express is a semi-professional photo editing tool for your pocket. Also available on iPad, the app comes free with various filters and effects, basic editing features, red-eye fixing, noise reduction, and the usual sharing options.

A premium version can be unlocked via in-app purchase. Actually, there are many in-app purchases to be made to unlock its full potential, and Adobe wants to give some away today.

Premium features offered for free

According to the makers of Flash, “For a limited time, you can use your free Adobe ID to access paid features such as Reduce Noise, Premium Looks, and Custom Looks — at no charge.” The company hasn’t set a deadline for when these features will no longer be available in the free app, so you’d better get it now, rather than later.

Another bonus is the ability to use your Adobe ID to access a new feature that lets you save your favorite edits as presets. It’s called My Looks and avid photographers, and selfie fans alike, are sure to love it. Users can save as many of these as they want.

Images can now be accessed and edited from an Adobe Creative Cloud account, and the sharing pane has added WhatsApp to the roster. Photoshop Express 3.5 further packs some bug fixes and tweaks to make the software more compatible with iOS 8, Adobe says.

Download Adobe Photoshop Express and try out the new paid features, as well as the rest of the enhancements mentioned here, today. Remember that those premium tools won’t stick around forever.
