A brand new video has popped up on the Internet, showing 13 minutes of glorious gameplay from Lords of the Fallen, the upcoming action role-playing game from CI Games and Deck13.

The new footage comes courtesy of AGB, and features a sort of walkthrough, showing off a brand-new area of the game that has not been featured in videos so far.

The clip shows a lot of new enemies, and once again demonstrates gameplay that is quite similar to that found in the Dark Souls series. In addition to this, the demo also gives us a look at a new boss battle, showcasing the different ways it can attack the player and how best to fight it.

In addition to the new content, the video also highlights the solid visuals that Lords of the Fallen will offer its players, being on par with pretty much every similar title shown so far, and apparently shaping up to be a real contender for Bloodborne, From Software's PlayStation 4 exclusive action role-playing game.

The premise

The game is set in an unforgiving world that looks down on crime and seeks to purge evil from man at all costs. Everything is fine and dandy, until the army of a long-forgotten god shows up to the party, attacking the defenseless mankind.

The protagonist, Harkyn, is a hardened criminal that becomes the world's only chance to defeat the ancient god once again and protect the realm of man. He ventures into the realm of demons, Rhogar, seeking to defeat everyone who opposes him and save the very ones who had condemned him.

The combat system is based on perfectly timed attacks, dodges and finding the right tool for the job. Gamers will have to learn the attack patterns and habits of their opponents, and battle increasingly difficult enemies, traveling to the heart of the demonic realm.

Platform parity

The game will offer the same experience on all three platforms it's heading to, but there will, however, be a slight difference in pixel count.

The developer has revealed that the game will run in 900p on the Xbox One, while on the PlayStation 4, Lords of the Fallen will run in a native 1080p, reaching the golden number. For the time being, the studio doesn't plan to up the game's resolution, focusing instead on polishing the content for launch, as the game is nearly done.

Lords of the Fallen is currently scheduled to come out on October 28 in North America and on October 31 in Europe, headed to PC, to the Xbox One home console from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 home entertainment system from Sony.
