A sequel is in the works as well, devs confirmed

It’s been quite a ride for developer Deck 13 and publisher CI Games since they launched the highly-anticipated Lords of the Fallen RPG title back in October. Although many looked at the game as a less punishing clone to Dark Souls, CI Games and Deck 13's title didn’t quite deliver on that belief.

Plagued by lots of issues at launch, Lords of the Fallen has received no less than four patches until now. However, even after so many updates, the game still has some problems that need to be addressed.

CI Games and Deck 13 promised to continue to patch Lords of the Fallen until all major bugs would have been ironed out. Despite the fact that lots of customers have taken to forums to express their disappointment for the state of the game at launch, Lords of the Fallen sold quite well on PC and consoles.

Well, it appears that the game was so popular in the weeks following its launch that developers have decided to start working on a sequel. Although Lords of the Fallen 2 is still in early stages of development, CI Games confirmed they were working on vision and concepts.

That means that only a fraction of the studio is actually working on the Lords of the Fallen sequel, while the rest of the team should concentrate on nailing down all the bugs still affecting the game.

There is no info on whether or not this will be a port

Not quite so. Lords of the Fallen developer has just confirmed they game will be launched on Android and iOS platforms as early as 2015. No additional details have been provided on when exactly the game will be released and whether or not it will be a simple port of a brand new game built from ground up.

We don’t even know if the game will only run on tablets or developers will be able to tweak it to fit smaller screens. More info is likely to emerge early next year, but until then many Lords of the Fallen players are wondering how much time developers will have to continue to fix the PC and console versions of the game.
